New Nevada NAMer
Hey all. I am new to Minis and new to NAM, but looking forward to all the fun!
My daughter, Alli, is a very busy college senior who just scored a decent one-owner '04 R53 with a little over 100k miles on it. Her brother and I will be her chief wrenches, so far as our skills will allow. She flew down to Las Vegas (we live in Northern Nevada - Reno/Sparks) to pick it up, knowing the power steering was out. I had not visited here prior to the purchase, so I assumed a P/S pump would be a pretty quick, cheap fix. Surprise! As you all know only too well, this is one of those common maladies of these cars and no matter how I approach it, it ain't cheap!
Despite this needed repair, we are loving her little chili pepper MCS and can't wait to meet some more Reno area Mini owners. Anybody here in the neighborhood?
