Hello all! Just purchased my 2013 Mini Cooper Hardtop in Pepper white on Monday! Loving it so much! Any advice for a newbie? Looking to put purple bulbs in for the headlights and purple seat covers too. Anyone know good brands? Looking forward to learning a lot!

Advice... First, find and join a local MINI club (or the one closest to you) and go on some club rides with them. Single best thing I ever did!! Before owning my MINI I never would have considered it because it always seemed they were a bunch of gear heads who just wanted to blather on about each nut and bolt on their car. MINI clubs all seem to share the same mentality - it's all about the motoring experience and comraderie. The mods you'll hear members talk about are all about improving the motoring experience. You'll meet so many neat folks who share your enthusiasm. Second, after you get a few miles in your MINI and discover what you'd like to improve in your own motoring experience, then move on to mods. BTW - you are the proud pilot of a "MINI". "Mini" refers to an older classic (e.g. Pre-2000 Austin, Morris, etc.) Mini.

Welcome!! I am still a NOOB having ours for a little over a year.
There are a couple of MINI Clubs in NJ. It depends on where you live. There is at least one n Northern NJ that extends to NY and CT. In the Central/Southern part is Drive N Eat. You can find them here or on Facebook. There are two dealerships that I watch for events.. First is Prestige MINI in Ramsey NJ, they have events like Movie night (they feed you and then it's 100+ MINI's to the Drive In.) and on Dec 15th they are doing a toy run to a New Jersey Hospital. the other is Mini of Monmouth They have Movie nights at the dealership.

Purple headlamps would be cool but visibility would suck at night or in bad weather... You also run the risk at getting pulled over by a cop. If I am not mistaken it is illegal to use bulbs that have a higher temp of 5,000k.
