We just got (two weeks ago) a new to us '04 Mini Cooper S in red and white.



It came with s new set of winter wheels, and the factory rims with some almost beat summers.

Next season it will probably see a bit of the 'track' as we are active in our local AutoX community with our '97 Miata.


I have been having a bit of a time getting a iPhone interface to work, at the car came with a Sirius radio adapter when we got it. I thought that simply unplugging it would let me use the gta car kit that I ordered, well, not really. And the blitzsafe support folks and web sight are not helpful at all. Oh well.

Welcome! I just purchased my 2004 MCS in October and have been smiling since. Have you been able to get the GTA car kit to work?

 

The gta car kit "works" in that when its installed, and I put the radio into Sirius mode, I can here the audio from the iPhone. However the kit is also supposed to let me control the iPhone as it emulates a cd changer. But for whatever reason the radio is still seeing the blitzsafe adapter , so instead of cycling to cd changer, it still cycles to Sirius radio. If I completely disconnect the blitzsafe adapter in the boot the radio does not cycle to cd changer or Sirius.

The gta car kit folks are letting me sending back, and the blitz safe people seem to want me to buy a different adapter.

 

Frustrating. I have heard very good things about the folks at GTA Car Kits. I'm looking to just run my iPod and will be picking up a GTA Car Kit soon. I have confirmed that my Mini's head unit will accept the kit. I wish you good luck in getting your interface worked out.
