I have a '12 CMS FWD manual and I love it. I have about 7500 miles and no issues yet. I had a MkV GTI with the DSG tranny before. The GTI was a bit quicker to 60, but the CMS is a lot more fun to drive and the ride and handling (even with the RFTs) is better. My gas mileage is consistently around 30, or about 31 according to the OBC. There have been what seem to be a number of complaints about the clutch, mainly on the All4. Mine seems fine, but I did smell it once when my wife was driving it , but she is somewhat tragic driving a stick.

i ordered a cms all4 and took possession 3/31/2012 ...
my dad liked it so much that he bought a used ex-demo/loaner cms all4 2 weeks later with 2,500 miles on it
between us we have about 17,500 totally trouble free miles (20,000 counting the 2,500 on my dad's used cms all4)
mine is manual, his is auto
GET THE XENON HEADLIGHTS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !
if you have cold weather get the heated seats or cold climate package (adds heated mirrors and heated washer jets)
i have the sport suspension and sport package (18" wheels with summer tires), dad has standard suspension and 17" wheels with all-season tires
his rides somewhat better than mine, but mine handles a lot better than his, almost like a different model car, and mine is still a better ride than my gmc sonoma extended cab 4x4 v6 with heavy duty suspension option
he has auto climate, i don't nor do i miss it, dad would skip it if he were to get another
if you get rear bucket seats, GET THE FLAT LOAD FLOOR, otherwise there is a gap between the seats when they are folded flat
dad has the sunroof, i do not ... it is very noisey when open, the sun coming through will cook you head and it rattles when closed or open
both have the leatherette seats, neither of us like leather seats
i have the dark headliner, dad has the light headliner ... his cms feels "bigger" inside, but i like the look of the dark headliner
i have the black headlights, dad has the chrome ... no functional difference, just looks
mine
i have added checkered mirrors and weathertech ventvisors on the front door windows ... going to get a set for dad's too
dad's ... we had the dealer swap out the wheels for black ones before delivery
if you have any specific questions, post here or pm me

Clubman was taken back by MINI and we got a 2011 CM built and have had no regrets.....14,000 miles, automatic, NON S......would get the Base CM again, just would've added Xenons and black headlight housings....problem is the more you add the more it adds to the price.....great vehicle though.....17 yr old daughter now has possesion of it......
