Welcome "lurker"
I see you are from New England area...any chance that you are anywhere near Albany, NY area? If you are, we have a pretty nice group of MINIacs you welcome to join with. If not you might want to look up groups in your area.
But before you do, you must tell us a little bit about your MINI...

Thanks!
Not from NY, but funny thing I was actually going to see if there were any Mini Mainers!
Ill post pictures when the weather is better but the mcs is a 2007 pepper white with black stripes 6 spd pano moonroof Union Jacks on mirrors, extra fogs, just hit 70k with a very alarming oil change :/
Bought at 65k with the understanding and "proof" the oil was changed. Got the call today that the car was making an awful noise on her commute to work. Added a qt of 5w30 syn and the noise stopped. Had the oil changed later that day and mech said it was very low and very very black. Sooo been doing research about the timing chain tensioner and all related tsb info. Thanks are definitely in order for all the forum members, Didn't know the 07 mcs were notorious for that stuff.
