How much was your mini?

I am planning to buy a mini next month. I see that they instantly lose value, more so than most vehicles. This has been my observation browsing comparable used mini's with low--miles. I'd love to hear what some of the new 2012-2013 owners have paid for their jcw's or MCS's... How much off of msrp are you guys getting?

$2,500 under MSRP for a 2013 Countryman S All4 in NY. Call like 4 dealers and tell them u are ready to buy today. Tell them you are shopping around and will pick the lowest price. Start at $2k below and tell them to beat that. You can reach 3k under MSRP if you are patient, nice to the MA, and persistent. I started negotiating at $500 so that killed my deal. You gotta sound convincing that you have $2k under from another dealer though. Good luck!

More to the point, what planet are YOU on. I would agree that a stock mini has a decent resale value. However, a well optioned 35k mini drops like a lead-weight in the middle of a pond.

Youification isn't worth much to a 2nd owner...so if you go crazy on mods and upgrades remember that you're doing it for you! and not to increase it's resale value.

I wanted a Clubman and looked at used ones for a couple of months. In my area, a two year old Clubman averaged only two thousand dollars less than a new one, so I bought a new one.

We paid 33k for our JCW, that was $1250 off list I think.

Prices seem to vary around the country, so it'd be helpful to know where the OP is located.

Just Purchased 03 MCS with 81,000 miles for $4,500......owner did not want to pay for PSP & fan replacement. So, I purchased the car from him & ordered the pump & fan....will install myself. The car is Dark Silver Metallic. I'm changing all filters, oil, plugs & wires. I not driving the car until the parts arrive.
