I bought my first MINI in October, used, after test driving a base model and an S. I ended up getting an 06 R53 and man is it fun to drive! It handles surprisingly well in the snow, too. It came with the cold weather package and everything else is absolutely stock. Can't wait 'til spring to start customizing! I plan on doing most of the work myself so I will be online a lot for assistance. Wish me luck!

 

Welcome aboard! Great selection on the R53. This board is an excellent resource... use Google to search it (begin search terms with Site:NorthAmericanMotoring.com) as the search function is a little spotty.

Welcome to NAM! I loved my MINI in the snow. Spent 3 years in new england and never garaged her for any of the winters. Check out the Peabody dealership as they have lots of fun events every year.
