Proud New owner , with a few quick questions
Hello everyone , I'm new to your forums and to mini , just recently purchased a 2004 MCS and i am loving it , well sort of I've owned two cars before this a 2003 Vw gti and an 05 Chrysler Crossfire coupe (which I traded and miss it a little)
This is my first manual trans car and I'm working out pretty nicely so far stalled only about 12 times but I have no one to teach me but the internet Lol so I think I'm doing great so far
The last forum I've come from crossfireforum.org was full info and VERY helpful people which felt more like a family and made ownership very invititing ,so I'm hoping you folks here are as helpful and as welcoming to new comers as it was over there
I'm not new to the forum game and I do frequently use the search button but everyone knows searching doesn't always answer your questions so expect a few "noobish" questions from me on occasion -_-
So just a two questions for now which I'll end up searching after this thread but links are welcome
1.any good cheaper vendors for oem parts ? The black piece on the driver side pillar that hides the windshield has a crack in it (one of two imperfections on my MCS)
2.my first mod is gonna be an exhaust so what's the best size from the down pipe to the muffler to get for low end power? My gti had a 2.5 inch full exhaust and was de catted turned out to be very nice sounds but very loud gave good low end torque compared to stock pipes
Thanks in advance

Careful w/ tinting for euros of this age. Headliner sag is quite common after this process as the glue is moisture sensitive & is known to fail.
