New to the Mini world!
Hi all! Just picked our first Mini. It's a 2006 MCS, HB in color. We grabbed it from a nice gentleman that was the original owner whom appeared to baby the car since day one.
I had been searching the Internet trying to sort out all of the pros and cons, but after driving the Mini the wife and I were hooked. It is intended to be her car, but who says I can't have some fun with it along the way.
The car is in overall great shape, but there does appear to be some leaks underneath and some other maintenance is right around the corner. I am a pretty mechanically inclined shade-tree mechanic, so I plan on tackling everything myself.
Thanks for reading and I look forward to learning and sharing!

I am fairly new here and have not posted. I bought an '03 Cooper S in late January and I now have it in the shop. I lost all but idle power to start and it went into limp mode. I have about half the power I should. They said it is the throttle body and it is bad and needs replaced..........five hundred and some dollars to fix it. Also has leaky pan, valve cover, dipstick o ring etc. I enjoy driving this car but right now I am very disappointed. I can't afford to keep throwing money at a car that I am having to pay for as well.
