Finally purchased a Mini!!!
I have wanted one for years; well, this weekend I finally did it. I ordered a 2013 Mini Cooper S pepper white with black roof, black mirrors, and black 17" wheels and tires. Cannot wait until she arrives!
Anyway, just wanted to introduce myself, my name is David, and say thank you to all the folks here who unknowingly assisted me in my purchase. Hopefully, I will be able to contribute as much or more information as you have provided me.

Hi Dave - congrats
Now, while you are biting your nails down to the quick while waiting for your new MINI, there are a few things that you must do...a name for your car? Have you gone out and found all the great roads that you need to explore? Lastly have you found your local MINI support group? You know, that group of like minded MINIacs
Pictures when it arrives or it didn't happen...
Motor on.

Hi MusicGuy-
Welcome, welcome, welcome... And now the wait begins. However, there is a lot to do for entertainment in the interim. If someone hasn't told you, the Owner's Lounge (OL) through MINI USA, is not the most accurate place to go for updated info, but it's a fun start. For current info, your sales person is better. Anywhoo, once you get your VIN# you can start tracking the vehicle on-line through the OL. And, if the car is going to be shipped anywhere, you'll need your VIN# to research what carrier (RORO- Roll on; Roll off) your MINI is going to be shipped on. If it is going to be shipped, you can track-it using the Maritime Navigation System found free online- google earth has an application. Boy, our MINI was shipped and the whole tracking business became such an educational experience as the family really became extra knowledgeable with the different Maritime terminology and Geography as a whole! And, if it's going to cross the Panama Canal, you can watch it live as it goes through the Locks, so check out the live camera(s) of the Panama Canal. We were able to track and find the vessel carrying our MINI as it went through the Miraflores Locks and took screen shots and recorded the video feed- a cool sight!!! Ah, and then there is the manual... I haven't researched this myself, but I hear that there is an actual app for the manual! And of course, there's chattn' with ALL the great folks here! We just got "TITAN"- our 2013 MINI S Convertible a couple of weeks ago and it truly is a fun way to get around.
