Through the Panama Canal today...
So, today I watched the ship my JCW Countryman is on - the Cronus Leader - pass through the Panama Canal.
I took about 40 screen grabs, and it's pretty awesome to click through them quickly like a flip book seeing the ship arrive, the lock/ship ship lower, and then take off again...
Here's a couple of shots. It's the ship on the left/at the back.
It lands in Cali on the 24th. Anyone else on in it with me?

No tricks or special information.
First, I Googled the ship name, 'Cronus Leader', but added 'cargo' to be sure the results were the ship.
I clicked on the first link, which was www.marinetraffic.com where you can track the ship in real time. While it's often out of range, the details include an ETA of arrival in the next port. Panama Canal was the first stop after Southampton.
Separately, I looked at the Panama Canal on Google Maps. There's a drop-down menu under the map type (inside the Map itself) where it will show webcam locations.
Then I just brought it all together - knowing approximately when the ship would go through I followed it on marinetraffic.com, and at that time looked at the Webcam through Google Maps.
It sounds time consuming, but it wasn't - I just had it on in the background while I was at work...
