Wayward sheep returns to the fold

I'm not a new member, so I'm kind of turning this into my own welcome back thread.

A few years ago, my wife and I had a 2006 MCS - I loved that car. Sadly, it had an automatic, but everything else about it was fantastic. Regrettably, I traded it in 2010 on a Hyundai Genesis Coupe 3.8 Track. While I have enjoyed that car, I've been shopping around a bit because I really wanted an AWD, turbo hatchback with 4/5 doors and a manual transmission. This is harder to find than you would think... but I ended up testing out a Countryman S All4 a couple weeks ago and not only did I love it, but felt right at home back in a MINI.

So today, the order went in. CM JCW, Black/Black/Black. Now I just have to sell my current car - wish me luck!

Very reliable and very fun. The transmission is a little clunky. Over three years, I had it up to the Dragon five separate times and it behaved well for me every time. Just ready for something different (and yet familiar).

Ahh, nice. I really like the look of them. I'd like to take a test drive.

You should - the 2013s have a nice power bump over the '10-12 models, too. I think the V6 is rated for over 350 now. It's a very decent entry into the RWD coupe market from a company that had never made one until 2009. They also sound great, which is not true for too many cars anymore. It needs some things to be really great, though, particularly in the way of a really smooth manual transmission and a more progressive suspension tuning. In stock form it tends to understeer but at the very limit it snap oversteers... which I found very difficult to predict.
