Just saying hi. I'm currently in the purchase process of an '11 Cooper S. It'll primarily be my wife's commuter car, but I'm glad I steered her towards an S so I can take it out for fun!
Quick question- is the automatic a "slush box" or a true manual like a VW DSG or BMW Steptronic? I'm curious because I noticed the car downshifting while slowing for a stop sign.
Welcome to eh MINIac family. MINIs aut is nothing like the DSG. It is programmed to shift like that for a more sporty feel. Try using the sport button as it makes it more aggressive and tightens up the steering. Good luck and remember to WAVE.

Yeah it's a decent enough but it is a typical regular automatic. MINIs just have really strong engine braking...I'm guessing from it being small in size or light flywheel or...who knows lol
Yes, Braminator, someone did say pics. Settle down through, Zimm is in the purchasing phase of MINI ownership. We'll hopefully have pics soon enough. If not, there's always the NPMNP.
Got her home today. She's had a tough two years with 54k miles and some scratches here and there. We hardly break 10k miles a year on cars. And for $15,500 I think we got a deal. Now to get temp tags while I apply for my permanent ones.....
