I picked up my Cooper S about a month ago. It's an 06 Royal Gray Metallic with a 6 speed transmission, Cold Weather, Premium and Sport Packages, panoramic sunroof and navigation. I was looking for a fun daily that's pretty good on gas.

I am not new to Minis though. I have helped put together a couple of them for a good friend. I am not trying to achieve the extremes she has gone to with my R53 however. I have my Saab for that.

I threw in a set of Megan Racing coilovers, which are great so far. My buddy built a rear seat delete for the car. I also had a set of BBS RS's sitting around from my mk1, so I built them a little wider and got some meaty tires for them. They are 15x8 et15ish now and I wrapped them in a set of 205/55-15 Yokohama S Drives.

I am really loving the car so far. It's a nice change from my Saab. This little thing corners like a go kart and is super zippy. Hopefully I can get it on a track before the season is over and really have some fun with it.

That being said, I know these intro threads are pretty worthless without photos so on to those. (sorry in advance for the phone photos, I haven't had a chance to give it a proper shoot yet)

Nice. It's sad to think that SAABs will be scarcer and scarcer going forward.
