District of Cooper
At least that's what DC means to me now. Being that I pass at least 10 coopers a day on my way to work. Well, to get the introductions out of the way 2010 MCS Laurel Edition Cabrio.

Not really a newb to the forum, been trolling for quite some time for mods...came from two STis and an EVO. The mini was a great fit for my needs of flying under the radar, which was getting tougher by the day with my other vehicles. Spent a summer in Florida driving a exotic convertible...so i had to have one when I got back, but it had to handle like it's on rails to give me the same thrill. Soooo a couple of offers online and i ended up with this beauty. Of course averaging 30mpg sealed the deal for me as a DD as well. Any how looking forward to meet other members at local meets or on the mean streets of DC.

Welcome to NAM & congrats on your MINI! The Laurel Edition is a nice car - a member of the local club here has one - very very sharp! I also like the stance you have going there. Did you lower it or was it the prior owner? I'd like to drop mine so I have similar wheel gap to what yours does (or appears to) in the back.

I thought about it too. You pay for a partial membership through the end of December. Then you pay full price in January for 2014. My '14 S Roadster arrives from England the first week of October, so I'm not too sure how much value there is in a partial membership. We are buying a beach house in Florida next summer, which limits my availability for local events after June. Still, I may join for the 2014 membership year. I don't use Facebook, so I've limited my exposure to their regular website. Seems like a decent group of MINI owners.
