My wife and i test drove a mini awhile ago and LOVED IT. now we are moving from Ohio to CA in april, and we are thinking of getting a 09 S Yellow Cab for her to commute in. i have been reading about the horrors of Carbon build up and auto trans issues. any tips while looking at 09 cars? any common problems that are easy fixes ( if i can rebuild a Porsche 928, this car should be a snap)

Have you been in California traffic jams yet? Stick shift REALY sucks in traffic. Clutch in, clutch out, clutch in (and so on). Ask what year is best for automatic Mini to the more experienced Mini owners (I only had mine a year & its a stick). I heard there are issues with some Mini auto transmisssions. Enjoy nice Cali. weather
