I've been lurking for a bit - when life allows me to do so.

In October, I happy became the owner of a new-to-me 2005 Mini convertible, having traded in an old Ford E350 van for it so I could start a new job that involved a bit of traveling.

I'm not sure who was more tickled about the purchase - my grandson (whom I'm raising) or I.

It's in wonderful shape, but does have some issues...like a parking brake that isn't holding (I'm waiting for nice weather to do the fix)...and I'm trying to find the navigation DVD player that is supposed to be under the front passenger seat but isn't...

And what is that fan that's under the car, just aft of the oil drain plug? Can't find a reference to it in the Haynes Manual...
