I've had my '02 MC since I bought it new. Have loved it. Suddenly, I have had a lot of electrical problems, some intermittent, some not. Power door locks, heater controls, turn signal indicator, tire pressure indicator light, steering wheel mounted audio controls, etc. Dealer says a new Body Control Module is needed. They quoted an installed cost in excess of $1,700!!!!!??? Needless to say, I am putting up with the problems, for now. Looking on the Internet, I see places that sell a new replacement BCM's for a reasonable cost, but I understand the unit needs to be programmed for a particular MINI. Must this be done by a MINI dealer? Would like to get problem fixed.
