My wifes new (used) baby

My wife has been wanting a mini for a good long time, so I finally broke down and picked this beautiful little thing up for her birthday.
Specs:
2005 Mini Cooper JCW 210 tuning kit
British Racing Green
Black Slicktop
6spd Manual
27k miles

Mods I've found so far:
Bilstein PSS10 coilovers
Alta top mount intercooler
Unknown oil catch can
Unknown coolant bubble
Enkei Bortex (RPM2) 17x7 wheels
Sony DSX S310BTX headunit
Viper 5704 alarm
Unknown front and rear carbon fiber strut braces
Unknown front camber plates

The car is completely spotless and is surprisingly a bit of a handful to drive. So much fun though. I'm a VW guy at heart, but this is definitely a fun little car. Kinda reminds me of my old e30. Any information you might have would be appreciated along with comments or criticism.

Welcome to MINI madness

What a nice looking car. Sweet setup. Sounds like the previous owner was good to it. The only thing that is "odd" looking is the setting on the camber plates. I would have expected them to be more inboard than fully outboard as shown. That would put them on the wrong side of "Zero". You might want to get a wheel alignment to check that. For the street the MINI does really nicely with a -1.5 deg camber.

Other than that...fully enjoy every chance that your wife lets you drive it - I finally had to buy my own when I couldn't get to drive my wife's MINI enough...

Hey guys, thanks a lot. I really could not be happier with the purchase. You're right about the camber plates, it is odd that they are all the way outboard and there is no visible positive camber. I will have to get an alignment done to see what they say. I also haven't had time to jack it up and check out the underside, so I will need to do that. I paid just under $14k for it, which where I am (SoCal) was a good price for something with such low miles, based in the other cars in the market. Finding all the nice little mods, have made me much happier with the purchase.

Nice find!

I know that made a huge deposit in her emotional bank account.

The strut brace looks like a Racing Dynamics.

I see an Engine Torque Dampener too.

And I agree on getting that camber setting checked. It looks like it is set too positive.

Yes, the plate settings themselves look off, but the wheels do not appear to have any positive camber, they look to be about dead 0. Will get it checked regardless, car needs front tires anyway.

WOW Very nice and Clean BRG " British Racing Greenw/ JCW tuning kit. Nice find.

I can see its has the two tone cloth / stitch sport seats. And the "Chrono Package" option. Which gives you mickey mouse ears gauges on the steering column.

Thanks ECS!
More discovery today. I crawled under the car and found a nice front skid plate/belly pan (nice to have since there is a mile of nasty dirt road between my house and pavement), Front and rear aftermarket sway bars (rear is adjustable), Rear h-sport adjustable camber links, and I'm not sure about the brakes... they have ebc green stuff pads, slotted and crossed drilled rotors, and stainless lines, but I think the calipers are stock.

Zero would be too little. -0.3 is stock. The IE fixed camber plates that I am using have -1.5 camber (these plates for the R53 give the same). -1.0 to -1.5 is great on the street. Great feel on the turn-in. Hope that helps.
