Hi from Central PA!

Hi everyone,

Just picked up my first MINI - a 2006 MCS Cabrio with 18K miles. Private party, only one previous owner - it's like new, and I'm loving it!

Looking forward to joining this community!

Steve

Welcome to NAM I hope that you enjoy your MINI for many years to come. This community is a great source of information about your car and many people willing to hep. Post some pics of your ride for everyone to enjoy, we like PICS here lol. If you have any issues with your car and if you are close to Philly I would recommend HELIX13 they are a great shop and knows our cars in and out. Good luck

Wow 18,000 miles it's a new car lol amazing. One thing that I would do is check the health of the battery by having it tested since I'm sure that the battery is the original one and obviously it wasn't driven much, also check the expiration date on the tires if the are original must likely run crap ( I mean flats) get rid of those and get normal tires, day and night difference in comfort get a small spare tire and you are set lol

Thanks for the welcome and the recommendations!

Actually, the tires did need to be replaced and I had a new set of Michelin Pilot Sport A/S 3's installed on Saturday. They do seem to ride better than the run-flats, and at a much lower cost. Am carrying a tire plug kit / Slime / 12v compressor in lieu of a spare.

Thanks! Actually, I just ordered a thermostat housing from you… Thanks to NAM, I was able to diagnose a little blue leakage and hope to correct it myself

Looks good. Like the Cool Blue/ Cool Blue with the blue top . Those are being hard to find., most people went with the black top on most colors.
