Not my mid-life crisis... ;)

FINALLY, after about 8 years of wanting a mini but being practical with kids in the house, they are out and my mini is in!

Bought a CPO Mini from a dealership in So Cal and love it. Fun, fun, fun to drive. Will be on this forum to learn new and fun things all mini. Have a super day.

Makes me laugh. Mine is beyond a mid-life crisis. I'm 79 and still get a kick out of driving fun-to-drive cars. In 1982 my wife and I were shopping for a new car and we tried out a Volvo. When we got back to the dealership after our test drive I thought well of the car and asked my wife what she thought. Her reply was "let's wait till we're old to buy a Volvo". We bought a new Celica GT instead. I still haven't bought a Volvo and don't see one in my future.

Congrats Meemo! Welcome to the enablers. . . . I mean, enthusiasts forum! Yeah, that's it! Have you started on your "want" list for mods? If you haven't, don't worry about it.

It's coming!

That's great, mine is a mid-life reward, not a crisis! Just had to have a kid mover first to justify the mini..now it's loud and no one in the house wants to drive with me..tears, tears...but of joy, that is..

It's funny, someone recently referred to my 09 Clubman S as my midlife crisis car. Having gone from a convertible mustang to a MINI, I feel like it doesn't quite ring true. I always associate the idea of midlife crisis with guilty pleasures, and while the MINI is definitely a pleasure, superb handling, comfort for 4 REAL SIZED adults and gas mileage in the mid 30s somehow doesn't seem like something to be all that guilty over.

That said, oh man am I having a blast in the MINI! Maybe the guilt factor is in that I'm feeling guilty for not feeling guilty? :-D

Thanks everyone! I do plan on posting pics shortly.... my list is growing of all the fun mods I can do to "personalize" it. My husband is also excited about all the possibilities too. Loads of fun with online shopping ideas and then he gets to do the work. Thankfully he enjoys it and is very handy...otherwise, we would have to sell our belongings to pay for my wish list of mini-wants!

Mid-life crises fun

Funny you say mid-life crisis, my wife said the same. I have one out and the other in June. Just got my Coupe S last week and loven it. Why is it when we decide to start having more fun again it's a mid-life crisis? I too live in So Cal. Enjoy the ride!

The Coupe is a sweet ride! And no crisis ...never! I actually like the response that it is a mid-life reward! Yup, that is so it!

Love it! Age is a matter of mind over matter....if you don't mind, it doesn't matter. What a great attitude!

Looks great, who do the stripes for you, like the carbon fiber look and that it is striped all the way down!

Thanks! I bought the carbon fiber automotive vinyl and my husband did the install. It is sold in 12" widths so the middle was super easy and then we marked off and cut the strips for the black. It was a fun way for us to spend time together and cost all of about $50 for the materials.

Nice job on the stripes, like the PW against the orange.

Thanks! Orange is my new fave color so I am thrilled with how it pops with the PW.
