Time for a newer roadster

Hi to all,
I've been driving a 1979 Alfa Romeo Spider for the past almost 30 years and still love the car. But, after blowing out the clutch on the 35 year old Alfa, I decided it was time to look for a newer roadster for longer and more dependable road trips. Both of my brother-in-laws drive a Mini as does a good friend. They all recommended the car so we began to look. We found a 2012 R59 roadster with low mileage that now sits in our garage waiting for the Minnesota temperatures to go up and the snow level to go down. I am really excited to soon be able to get some road time in this roadster.

Welcome to NAM, DDayKid and congrats on your new MINI Roadster. You are surely going to love this car. I just love mine. Sounds like you got yourself a sweet deal. Now if we could get the midwestern winter to just go on vacation. Why don't you post a few pics of your Roadster when you get a chance. We just love pics here at NAM. Happy motoring and please don't forget to promote the MINI wave.

Welcome to the MINI Roadster family! I'm like you, waiting for the snow to melt so I can get my Roadster out of my shed it's been hibernating in for the winter. It't been a painful wait in this miserable winter, but it's starting to warm up a bit here in Illinois, so only a few weeks to go.

Best wishes with your new toy!
