New here with 08 Cooper Convertible
Hey all, new guy here just introducing myself. My name is Tory, 25 soon to be 26 years old. Been a car guy all my life, mostly all European cars. I've had modded Audi's (A4 and S4), modded bmw 135i, Volvo V70R, VW Touareg, Audi TT, and I currently drive a 11' VW CC 2.0t and an 89' Audi 80 Quattro. Why am I on a Mini forum when I don't even drive a Mini you're asking yourself by now... Well my significant other purchased an 08 Mini Cooper Convertible Automatic (yes, I know, dreaded CVT) with only 22k miles. The car is in pristine condition and was driven by an old woman. The reason he purchased it was he has an 88 mile round trip commute and his 08 Acura RDX turbo simply couldn't get above 19 mpg with his driving...and he wanted an excuse to get a convertible lol But just wanted to introduce myself, this forum seems packed full of information and informative people from what I've been reading. Here are a few pics of the car.

Yep still has the CVT, hopefully no issues arise, but if they do, we'll just fix the car. His dad is a mechanic anyway.
Thank you, he loves the car, as do I. We put some top down miles on it over the weekend. It's such an enjoyable car to drive/be driven around in. I've never seen him drive through corners as fast as he does now. The Mini just sticks to the road! lol
Some pics from this weekend. First is my partner washing the new Mini while I cleaned up the garage.

Next is just a picture while we were cruising around...

And last is the partner a few drinks in with the Mini lol

Thanks for the additional pics. You're correct about MINIs sticking to the ground. They are definitely a fun car to drive and slightly addictive. Happy TDD (Top Down Driving) motoring to the both of you and enjoy.
