R50 Builder, New to Mini, advice?

Hello, I'm James.

So I bought what might as well have been a lemon Mini Cooper. 2004, S model. Mini dealer quoted me needing $7.6k of things needing repaired or replaced. The warranty company has been a piece of crap. So most of it still needs to be replaced. So I took out a loan for more than the price of the car to not only fix but also build it even better and faster. Here is whats up and my Mini story.

Need Replaced:
-Water Pump
-Thermostat
-Power steering lines
-Coolant flush (wrong coolant was being used previous owner)
-Brake fluid flush (Never been done)
-Control Arm Bushings
-Upper strut mounts
-Drive Belt and tensioner
-Spark plugs and wires
-Ignition Coil
-Cabin Microfilter

I am trying to do some of this myself as well as at different shops beside Mini to save some money.

What I plan to upgrade:
-Injectors
-Meth Injection
-15% Pulley
-3" Exhaust (What brands don't sound like ricers?)
-Luggage Rack (help me find a good one?)
-Maybe upgrade inter-cooler

I'm not new to cars just to Mini but I'll never buy another brand again. Can't wait to hear from yall

A shame there are no good Mini forums out there. Yet again no response. Oh well. I'm almost done with the build now.

Using "search", you probably found information on most, if not all of the items in your list.

Keep us posted on your progress.
