New guy from upstate NY
Hey! I've been lurking for a bit so I figured an intro was in order. I'm Chris, an I'm an obsessed Mini owner! I bought my first Mini 2 weeks ago. 2014 countryman S All4. Light white with red stripe kit, premium package, cold weather package, red interior door panels. Pretty much stock now but I just received the Burger Performance JB+ unit and can't wait to put it in. Looking at intake and exhaust, and a new intercooler. Just have to decide what to buy.
Anyway, LOVE. This car!!

Welcome to the insane world of MINIs and Modding
Middle Grove, NY - Near Saratoga?
We have a fun group of MINI owners, some obsessed, who meet every 1st Tuesday of the month at the Pump Station in Albany. Love to see you there. http://www.mpgminis.com/
As for mods, the intercooler - yes (Helix ), exhaust , intake - not worth it, the stock system is a true cold air intake, the aftermarket ones are not. The just suck in hot air.

Yes went to keeler! Brandon got us a $6000 discount on a 2014 with 1200 miles on it because it was "used." Some woman bought it, didn't even test drive it. She thought it was "cute" but then hated it and brought it back to buy something else.

Sounds like I may just skip the intake and get a K&N filter for it. I think hearing the turbo and blowoff valve would be cool, but not sacrificing performance...not that much cool.

Yes near Saratoga! Do I have to join the BMW owners club like the site say, or can I just start showing up. I don't have much interest in the BMW side.

But for some of the events we go on you will need to be a member as we are a special interest group with the Patroons Chapter of BMWCCA. However, it is not a big deal to join BMWCCA. You can decide to join after you have come and met our little crazy group.
