Hello to NAM - 07 MCS So Florida

I'm glad to have found NAM - I've purchased a friend's 2007 MCS -105K miles and it came with a disappointing service history.

Tensioner/Timing Chain failure at 54K requiring a RMFD Engine...another Timing Chain replacement at 95K as it was stretched beyond limits...Aux Water pump Recall..Turbo Heat Shield...Valve cover...Starter...and a host of additional expensive repairs / replacements along the way.

I'm a DIYer and appreciate the knowledge base of the members. The Drive Belt replacement from 'under the car' worked brilliantly...the Speaker wire swap on my non-HIFI stereo was also brilliant. My Bentley manual is good but the ingenuity of home mechanics is always impressive.

I'm hoping to be able to contribute as I discover more about the car.

Welcome to NAM and congratulations on the new MINI! It could be a blessing for you that the repairs were already done. Let's see some photos.
