I'm a total sucker for those seats. I wonder what the local interior show would charge for custom BRG seats...

+1 Those tartan seats are hard to find. They had emerald green in the gen 1 but it was for the Cooper Seats .

Have never seen that interior Mini color. Must be on the rare side.

Yes , very rare in the early gen1 days MINI had some crazy interior colors. Lots of people did custom interiors in leather as a remember dealership offering this as an options. When the MINI first came in out people were putting large amounts of $ into them into custom items.

This was a dealer installed option? Not factory?

No, its factory. Some people wanted more options, sometimes you will see MINIs in gen 1 have what looks like Katzkins leather interiors.

Yes, I would have also. The center slats to be any other color is rare. The lapis blue leather seats you don't see , as well as the emerald green.

If you want to know about rare MINI options look no further then me.

I loved the lapis blue seats, and specifically looked for a MINI with them. Too bad the stock S seats seats were so uncomfortable for me. I'm not sure whether I should sell them since they take up a lot storage space.

The R53 JCW Sparco seats were available in lapis blue leather, but not the JCW Recaros. Another really rare seat is the R56 Recaros with the early R53 JCW logos. Apparently those were available from MINI at one time.

[QUOTE=Baltoman;4152208

Every time I drive this little fun thing I love it a little bit more. I can use much more of its power than the ///M. You got pics of your mini and M3?

[/QUOTE]

There's a few pics of the Mini in my profile. I've got some M pics somewhere on this computer! I'll post them under my profile soon.

You did the right thing with finding an '06 Wish mine was as well, but I'm more than happy at this point. You and I are in a very similar place obviously with coming from E46 M's. Your comment about being able to use the power of the Mini is spot on! Such a fun, drivable car!

Yes, 2007 -2008 MINIs in R56 had the old JCW to new Logo switch over. Yes very rare. The Gen2 design Euro Recaros re the only ones left, Have you seen the Euro GP 1 seats ?
