New Roadster owner in MD

Hello all, just purchased our 2013 R59 Roadster on the 26th. Long time Mini fan, first time owner.

My partner and I had been looking for a convertible as a third car and the Roadster had a lot of the things we were looking for. We knew this was the time of year to buy and got a great deal. We already have a list of future upgrades going.

High on our list: xenon headlights, clear side markers, black line tail lights, black mirror caps and 17" wheels.

@ECSTuning, thanks for the links! I have a wish list set up on your site, haha

@MiniTigger HoCo here, good luck in the search. We went to Mini of MoCo to check this one out not really considering it because it was missing some of the things we wanted, but the car was practically brand new and we couldn't pass it up.

I've been working with Mini of MoCo as well. They had a blue 06 S hardtop that I missed out on .. guess it just wasn't meant to be yet. Fairfax has a 12 base that I've been watching. It's nice too but I think I would be happier with a Gen 1.

This looks SWEET!!! I might partake even without a Mini!

Looks great as you don't see many non S roadsters.

FYI if you want the black lights now is the best time as we have the best deal on them we've ever had right now with FREE shipping, but price will be going back up later this week

@MiniTigger, thanks for the info, I might have to check it out when they're in Baltimore.

@WayMotorWorks, appreciate the heads up on the tail lights!

Very nice find. Non S R59 is a great Roadster. I drove both versions, Cooper and Cooper S and just kept looking all over the US, including Mini of Sterling and Mini of Montgomery, among many others, until the best deal came up. Didn't really care whether it was just a Cooper or an S.

Look up Gil Galad on this forum. His Red Justa R59 is amazing. You can do a lot with these Roadsters. Here's a picture of his car (one of my favorites on this site)...

Show us what you end up adding or changing. Enjoy!

Thanks for the welcome! I have seen Gil's car on the Roadster forum, it looks awesome for sure. I will definitely post pics as we add stuff in the future.
