Hello from the U.K

Hi,
After running a 1 series BMW for 8 years I decided that it was time for a change, and the only choice for me was a Mini. As my Wife wanted to drive the car it had to be an Automatic, which initially horrified me.

In the end I found a 2002 reg Mini Cooper S in white which I've grown rather fond of.

As I've taken early retirement I no longer need a car for the daily commute so something a little more fun seemed appropriate, and the Mini will fit in well with my other "fun" car, a Morgan LeMans62, but that only comes out to play in the summer!

Interestingly, when my Cooper S went back to the dealer for some work which was agreed when I picked the car up (it was Christmas Eve) they lent me a new Mini One with the 1200cc three cylinder engine, and surprisingly that was as much fun as the Cooper S, though obviously not as fast but still a fun, great to drive little car.

Regards,
Ian

Hi Pelican,
I'll try my first attempt at uploading pictures!

Oh, it looks like the Morgan pic has come out a lot bigger than the Mini.

Regards,
Ian

You sure that's an '02? Looks like an R56 model. Either way, looks good. Very clean. Same with the Morgan! What a beautiful creation. It's pretty awesome that you own one. I bet it's really fun to drive.

Sorry, Pelican your right, my mistake, the Mini's a 12 not a 02, one with a Turbo, not a Supercharger!

Many thanks for the warm welcome.
I know it's a little off topic (Mini's!) but if anyone's interested in Morgan's and the factory here's quite a good little film:

A little different than the Mini factory I suspect

Ian

Love the Morgan. The way they build those. Wooden structures.
