Bought a Mini Cooper for the wifey, severely I'm in love more with it lol .... We got dealt a bad apple when dealing with the dealership, and a small repair turned into a BS nightmare and my decision to cut all ties with them! It's a 2011 r56 or copper S with only 32000' miles! Been used to working on my vehicles so I'm just researching here and appreciate any pointers!!!

Noticed here rich black mufflers are normal... What about the loud to me clicking on start up? After less then 5 minutes it's quite though.... I'm predicting pre maintanence to keep her running for years to come!

Hello and welcome. Sorry to here the issues. Have pics of this MINI.

The soot on the exhausts tip s are normal. The clicking at start up might be the injectors or something else. With the lower miles, what was the issues the dealership found ?

prior to signing the contract, we noticed the drivers side headlight failed to maintain adjustment... it was totally striped out and the internal mechanism left the headlight dangling.

The dealership agreed and signed on paper this would be fixed or replaced, when picking it up I noticed they had put a 'wood-screw' through the back of the headlight unit and used black silicone to seal and hide the hole... It turned into a hug ordeal, I contacted the attorney general and filed a report and they went ahead and ordered a new headlight! At this wonderful means of customer service we cancelled the dealer warranty and will not ever return...

I still have to take some 'after' dealer pix, especially now because we tinted the windows... looking to do the strip but not sure which style to go with

Window tint always is a great first mod to do. It was mine! For stripes, you can check out www.mightystripes.com as they do some great quality work.

Sorry to hear about the dealer difficulties, but sounds like you have a good car. We're here to help, so let us know. In the meantime, one of the most popular modifications is a Sprint Booster for better throttle response, and a cold air intake for improved horsepower and engine breathing. Here are a few links!
