What's up? I have owned a MCS for about two years now and have found a lot of useful information on this forum so I registered so I could ask some questions of my own... I didn't plan on ever having a Mini Cooper but I was given the opportunity to buy one for $1000 and decided that I couldn't loose. Now I can't help but smile when I see the look on somebody's face when they are riding with me! Haha.

It is a 2003 s so I'm guessing gen 1? But when I replaced the serp belt on it it took the JCW belt.... I guess it has the JCW pulleys?? Which is kind of frustrating because I'm doing a 15% s/c pulley upgrade and I have had to do a lot of research to find the correct belt size... Plus when I ordered the pulley, I ordered the belt with it forgetting that my car has the JCW belt on it. Grr. The car had 109,xxx miles on it when I got it. It now has almost 147,xxx. Still runs great. I changed the oil in the s/c when I got it but the previous owner hardly ever drove it hard enough to use the s/c. (New clutch 300miles ago, new slave cylinder, new crank position sensor and rear main seal to stop the oil leaks, new coolant reservoir, NGK plugs and wires, and power steering pump bc it was free bc of a recall from mini.)

I got it from my uncle in Indiana. I wrecked my truck and so he offered the car to me because he was about to get a new one. I drove to Illinois and met him half way to pick it up.

I like em too... I tore the back right one up by hand breaking on dry pavement.... I know I know! Lesson learned! Lol I recently put a new fender flare on there tho so it looks better now. I also installed projector fog lights. They are about 1500 lumens. SO BRIGHT!

Not yet, tho that one is only two months old. Granted, my car now has been totaled due to hail damage but it isn't so bad that you could see it in a picture. I'm waiting on the pulley puller to come in so I can put this s/c pulley on....

15% because I don't have the money to do anything else like the exhaust and intake.... I put cooler plugs in it a few months ago so I don't have to worry about that. I will probably get the CAI next but I'm in RN school and can't afford to make my car any faster when I'm just using it to go to school and work. Lol

Nice car for $1000! Your the second person to score an MCS for less than a grand. The other person got one for $700. I need to get my hands on one of these deals.
