First Mini for me

I have always liked the Mini but with kids it was just not big enough. I have enjoyed driving my 2004 Scion XB hot lava release series since new. It treated me well in all those years winning me a third place trophy back in the day. Sad to say I was rear ended almost a month ago. The car was totaled. Now that the kids are grown it was time for a Mini. I came across a 2010 that offered everything I was looking for. I have a new interest in driving again. It is hard not to be behind the wheel of this fun vehicle.

Congrats - looks great! MINIs are tons o' fun; soon you'll go out for drives "just because" and take the long way to wherever you're going.

Happy Motoring!

Congrats on the kids being older! I, too, am a "new to Mini" owner. I bought my used fun toy last week and I adore it. Sine we are a 3 car family, my last car was 10 years old when a friend crashed it and it only had 25000 miles on it. If I had my way, I'd put that many miles on my Mini over the weekend. it is GREAT and I'm learning more and more about it.

Congrats on the new addition to your family, and welcome to NAM! You have many years of grins ahead of you.

How many miles on yours and did previous owners make any modifications? Have any in mind?

Thank you all for the kind words! The car has 84,000 on it. I am the third owner. The first owner leased it for four years putting a little under 5000 miles a year on it. The second owner was the wife of a mechanic at Princeton Mini. She put about 23000 highway miles a year on it. The interior and under the hood still looks showroom fresh. The exterior does show some signs of wear. Especially the paint on the lower front end from rocks. It has the sport package, stick shift and the Harman Kardon sound system. I have no plans on doing much else to it at this time. It is my one and only daily driver. I wouldn't mind picking up an 03 - 06 Mini S as a project car some day :-)

Love the color. Know what you mean about a project car. I'm already planning a track day/race car since I want to keep my current R53 as a daily driver. Keeping it off the track is SOOOOOO hard to do, but I'm breathing deeply and trying to be sensible.
