This one came tuned up already. Has Milltek exhaust and the KN intake setup. Sounds good and has a little get up and go. Guy I bought it from was military, just grad flight school. He was shipping out to Alaska no way to take it with him. Said he bought it from his brother that did all the work on it. The PS pump was on its last leg coming and going. The base mechanic thought is was traction control DSC button stuck on, and I think a couple people passed on it because of the steering issue after test drive.
A little research online about the PS pump, and figuring out it was covered in the recall or I might have passed as well.

Oh yea that and the AC was not working. Pretty tough to sell a car in FL without AC in the summer. That ended up being compressor clutch coil replacement. Pretty easy job and a 35 dollar part. After topping off the R134 its like riding around in a deep freeze now. Well maybe not that cold but plenty cool enough now.

Brake parts are coming in. I decided to do the level 3 Gen 1 brake upgrade. Also getting strut mount plates with a little manual readjusting to knock out the mushroomed towers. That should tighten up the front end a little bit. Coilovers next with about .5 inch drop if I can find some that wont break the bank.

Tallahassee. 5 hours north. There wasn't a mini in town that I ever saw except one. As soon as I bought this one they are EVERYWHERE now. Closest dealer is 2 1/2 hour drive in JAX or 3 hours PNS. College town so every fall we get another 15K-20K new arrivals, and it looks like a bunch are driving Mini's.
I broke down and bought a coilover kit off ebay. I had a torn strut tower mount front passenger side that meant both front struts were gonna be pulled loose to fix anyway, so I priced out new struts all around vrs coilover kit. Probably a $200 difference in parts. Gonna do all the work myself with my mechanic neighbor. Looked at the youtube videos and not too bad from what I can tell. Might as well get control arms ball joints too depending how they look. Get some pics as I go along and post them.

I know of several minis with well over 200,000 and one in particular was over 350.000 miles on the original clutch so 134,000 is not a lot.
