Hello From South East Virginia USA
Cheers Mini Mates, I hope this finds all of you keeping well.
Several years ago my Daughter bought a Purple Haze R52 (2005), well fast forward to last week when she bought an F60 All4. What to do with her old R52... because he loves his Daughter and she really is a hard working good person... yes Dad bought it at a most extortionate price of his own making.
It's now being gone through by the experts at "Bimmer Rescue" in Richmond VA. They say it's in good shape considering the age and 120k on the clock. Along with needed mechanical and cosmetic repairs a few performance modification are being done too.
When I get her back in a few weeks I'll post up some pictures.
Cheers,
Nick

That sounds great, Nick. Looking forward to the pix. Purple Haze is a great color. Maybe she'll let you drive her F60 once in awhile?
There's maintenance and service guides on our website for both generation MINIs, so please feel free to stop by. What performance mods are you having done?

Well to be honest she misses her R52 but she needed the larger All4 as her job requires her to be at work no matter the road conditions as she works for emergency services. Mods are new cat-back exhaust system, induction system, 15% SC reduction pulley, injectors and plugs. I thought about a new head but wanted to see what kind of performance improvement I could get with the aforementioned modifications. I'm just like everybody else, I want the most bang for the buck; however, I don't mind spending the money IF it's worth the gain. Also, I know there is only so much you can do before you need to strengthen the bottom end too.
I was stationed in Scotland in the 70's (yes I'm an old fart) and a mate of mine had a real Mini Cooper that we use to rip through the highlands in, lord but that was fun. In any event, I'm looking forward to ripping through the Blue Ridge Mountains.
Cheers!

Thank you for the order we sent over the parts last week for your MINI. Can't wait to hear what you think as it will be totally different, and a whole lot more fun.
Let us know when your ready for the next hit on your new addiction.

Welcome. Post up a pic of the R52 , dont see too many Purple haze MINIs around anymore. Most of them in R52 were Cooper's w/ a CVT.

Here's a quick shot, I just got her home from the absolute professionals at Bimmer Rescue in Richmond, many thanks to those guys for breathing new life into her! The light was fading fast so I'll take more and better shots domani. The exhaust is a work of art with a deep throaty burble, none of that tinny civic tuner *****.
