Hello from East Coast (NJ) - looking for our 1st Mini
Hello everyone,
Hope you all are having a great time with your friends and family. Just dropping in for a quick intro - I have always wanted a Mini so started to look for one now.
For the past 8 years I have been driving manual cars (E36 M3, E46 M3, Ford Focus ST is what I have currently). Both Mrs and myself like cars and since she can't drive a manual (yet) we are at a point where I have to give up my manual Focus ST so that we can get an auto Mini Cooper. Initially I always wanted to get a manual MCS, but that was in the past and I don't mind taking a break from driving a manual car.
So currently looking for an automatic Mini Cooper!
Have a great weekend!

I don't recommend a gen 1 Mini base model with automatic, as the CVT auto matic trans are very weak.
I am not sure what years you are looking for. The 'S" models have a more robust auto transmission and newer base models have better trans also.
I wish you the best on your purchase.
If we can help steer you in a good direction, let us know!
