New to NAM - Introduction
We're Jim and Kathie from San Diego. Last August we bought our first Mini Cooper (British Racing Green with a black top). Kathie turned over her Lexus to me, and has taken over Mini as her personal "baby". We're having a ball driving this fabulous vehicle, and enjoy waving to other Mini owners along the way who appear equally delighted with their ride.

The plunge has been taken. After 4 years of scrimping pennies, I finally took delivery of a 06 MCS ChkMate. I couldn't be happier with my decision. Finally a dream car to keep for enternity. Mods for the future? You bet. Ill start off nice and slow :-) Love these forums. Have read lots of great info. Hope to get great support.

Hi
I took delivery of "Baby" March 3rd of 05. She is a 2005 MCS BRG/W with bonnet strips. After a year I am now just decicing what I want to do as far as Mods. I have done some of the simple things like the "bug" screen in the air scoop and added some chrome here and there. The first take apart mod was adding the autoup module from GBMini. Now I know how the dash comes apart. I also added the factory armrest which acomplished two things. #1 giving my elbow someplace to knock into, and #2 breaking something. Or in this case messing something up. (This is something that has to happen with me. I have to break something on everthing I own. It's Murphy's Law. I don't intend on doing it, it just happens.) This time it was trying to put a screw in the wrong hole and breaking of the screw. I have since fixed it.
Any way, Not to be so long winded. Now I am ready to move onto some preformace and suspention work. Already had the exhaust changed to a single can.
Well that's it for the moment.

Hey lnsminiwrench. Good to see you here.
He's joined us at Smoky Mountain MINIs too, dsmatl. He needs a a little help getting going and learning the ropes on message boarding. After talking to him a bit he shows all the signs of being able to develop a full blown addiction to talking on message boards about MINIs.........just like the rest of us around here.
Welcome Robert.

Hey to all! 1st post since I am now proud papa of a Hyper-Blue CheckmateS, easily the fastest of all the colors! Came to this MINI from a BMW SUV and can't quite beieve how much fun this car is to drive I just added the iPod hookup and the HK audio sounds amazing Now I get to snoop around here and find out about all the other goodies for Mini-me. I just have to add that I am an r1200gs rider, and this car is as much fun as the motorcycle! Amazing!!!

Well, I was blackmailed by my wife to set up my own NAM name. Her name is MiniNurse and she has a gallery as well. We are members of Sunshine Minis and DCMM. She has 04MCS/W 15% pulley. Soon to have Milltech exhaust, not sure of IC yet and trying to find out how much $$$ it will cost to get the roof, mirrors, and all crome Blacked out.

Greetings fellow motorers! I got my first MINI on December 17th, 2005. It's a British Racing Green/White Roof and Bonnet Stripes MCS. My interior is anthracite (as well as the headliner). I had the JCW kit factory installed (with LSD), along with the Premium, Sport, Cold Weather, and Convience Packages. I also have the HK sound system and iPod adapter. It is most defintely a sweet ride, and have no regrets!
