Hi all,
recently picked up a first gen Cooper, fairly standard but great fun and looks well too! Some standard mods planned (stripes, spots) also will be attempting general DIY and fixing the common faults.
I've already spotted the previous owner made a bad DIY job on seatbelt pretensioner wiring....
Look forward to helping if I can

Greetings,
My introduction into the Mini world has been a whirlwind experience, to say the least! My wife fell in love with Minis and purchased hers about 2 months ago. It's a 2010 Cooper S, Chili Red, and it's been a blast!
Now I have been bitten by the Mini bug! But of course it had to happen after purchasing a new car just a few months ago. Doh! So, in spite of all financial logic, I just ordered my Mini, and am now waiting (im)patiently for its arrival. I chose a '10 Clubman JCW in British Racing Green.
I have been obsessively poking aound Mini forums, for a while, and NAM is by far the best national forum out there. It has really helped me make the decision about what options to choose and what accessories I will want to get in the future.
To everyone who contributes, a big "thank you!"

From my title you could figure out that I Have not only a 04MCS and an O5MCS convertible, but also a 72 Lotus Europa. Not bragging just informational. I have screened the site and joined as soon as I was finished. the 04 cooper was having troubles with what I think was an injector and information skeened from other listers, I think I have found the problem. The 04 Mini is now sitting at 165,000 miles and still no serious problems. The 04 is my driver and the 05 convertable is the wifes, with barely 20,000 miles. Being from Nebraska the convertable is not used much during the winter months. Looks like a very informative site and I will visit often.

A sad day for a new member. My 2010 less than a month old Clubman S may never motor again! An unlicensed Minivan driver has destroyed my first MINI, I am going to post a pic to let you all know what a safe car you have purchased. The van flipped on its side the and the driver and passenger were removed by way of the windshield by rescue workers. I was wearing a seatbelt (they were not) and was able to find my cell phone, open the door, call 911 and check on the other people involved. My thoughts are with them. If he cant be fixed I hope to be able to replace him. The car was truly the most fun car I have ever had the pleasure to motor and definately saved my life.

I am a newby From Bradenton Beach Florida
Hello all!
I am a newby from Bradenton Beach, Florida! I am a proud ower of a new 2009 Mini S Convertable. I love this car so much, I wanted to sleep in it the first night. I have joined this forum and site since it has helped me find the SMB connector so I could connect my XM radio.
Thank you all and I be active within this site.

Another Newby Here - '02 MINI Cooper S
Hi everyone. I have been wanting a MINI for a long time and just took the plunge. I found a nice low mileage 2002 Liquid Yellow Cooper S in Virginia. I trailered it back to upstate NY and it is now sitting in my garage next to my '36 Chevy Coupe and my brother's '71 Buick GS waiting for the snow to go away. I can't wait to drive it again, the test drive in VA was a blast.
I'm new to these MINI's, does anyone know how to change the thermometer from C to F? The manual says the dealer can change it but the closest dealer is in Buffalo, ~ 1.5 hours away. Plus I like to learn and work on my own cars.

new to the brother-sisterhood of MINI
Hi! yet another member of the MINI forum. I am happy to share a photo of my red striped fun-machine. It definitely makes this engineer feel a lot cooler than when he was driving a subaru wagon. Most importantly is the pleasure of owning that little island of blacktop under my run-flat tyres.
Cheers to you all!
Cheers to you all!

Hey everybody! I'm DWright and I live in Tuscaloosa Alabama. My personal car is an '08 Black Saphire Volvo C30 R-Design but my wife and I just bought her a new '10 Mini Cooper on Monday. We purchased it from Mini of Birmingham and aside from taking entirely too long to complete, the process was somewhat enjoyable. They realy do try their best to make it a fun and painless experience. So anyhew, I don't have any pics of her yet (surprise and a shame, I know) but what we got is a '10 Dark Silver/Black roof Cooper w/ 6 speed manual tranny, panoramic moon roof, Redwood leather seats w/ Redwood door panels, piano black dash, i-Pod interface and Sirius Satelite Radio. If there is anything I missed, I'm sure my wife will be on here shortly to amend my post. I realy have enjoyed being a Mini owner so far but my wife is in heaven. Probably because she gets to drive it every day. Anyway, CHEERS! I'm happy to be a part of the Mini community.

Day 5 of Owning a Mini
My husband wrote the previous entry and he didn't miss anything. Yep, I'm in heaven. This is the first MINI I've owned. It has been the dream car for years. I'm taking it to show my dad today and hopefully he'll be as excited about it as I am. Well better go. Happy to be a member.
