Hi , just wanted to introduce myself. I recently purchased a 2006 R50, automatic with 102k miles. It needs some work and I’ll be posting questions for sure! Looking forward to learning from the forums. Thanks

Hi and welcome to the NAM family, rfbmini!
Congrats on your Mini buy!
An 06 Mini R 50 is a good Mini! The automatics were problematic though! What trans have you got? If automatic, get the trans fluid changed right away! It should be done every 30K miles, even though the manual says never!
Pics?

Unfortunately it’s the CVT. I’ll heed your advice on the trans fluid change. It was actually my dad’s car that he bought new (his last car and dream car). He drove it for two years before he was unable to drive anymore. My BIL bought it from him and now I bought it, so it stays in the family.
I’ll try to post pics. I just posted in the 1st gen forum about the tach not working.
