New NAM member from Nebraska. 2012 R60 S, planned mods
Hello all👋🏻 I have a manual 70k mile 2012 Mini cooper countryman S (R60) that my parents bought new, but I now own as of the last year. I have not yet added any after market features (if you count a shift **** lol).
Because it has 70k miles I'm not looking to do anything over the top, not going stage 2 with it, but as of now I'm looking at:
Air intake system (purely for turbo noise)
Burger JB+ n18 tune
Possibly a catback exhaust or secondary cat delete
+ cosmetic stuff like chrome deletes, front splitter, tow hook, etc
Again will take any suggestions or tips, especially considering I am relatively new to the car modding community.
P.S. if anyone has a burger JB+ they plan to sell, please let me know asap
Best wishes, Bowen C
Hand washed and waxed for a photo shoot on one of the best days of the year.

Congratulations on your new to you MINI. It looks like your parents took good care of it. It also looks like you are in an area with great roads for driving MINIs.
I can’t help with mods. My first mod was a short antenna that is now in the basement.
Check out the second generation section for ideas.

Welcome. We just did an R60 project with an intercooler, and suspension mods and a few other bits.
So I would highly recommend doing an intercooler.
The intake would only be for sound and we have some affordable options, as there aren't big gains from them.
