Turns over then Stalls
Hello all
I have a 2007 Mini S Turbo. Replaced the Alternator and drive belt. Went to start the car and has a horrible rattle. Turned it off thinking I forgot to tighten the heat shield on the turbo. Went to restart and would only crank, but wouldnt turn over. I have since replaced plugs, coils, checked all fuses, verified fuel going to injectors, replaced timing chain "Upper guide rail broke", battery, verified fuel filter good as well as pump. Currently the vehicle has a hard start, turns over then stalls within 2-3 seconds. Much closer then I was, but now I am at a loss on what next? Could bad injectors cause this? Like I said, it is turning over, just stalls immediately. Could this be bad injectors?

Hello,
HPFP? Are you getting fuel, can you hear the pump prime when you get near the car for the first time and open the doors?

Fuel is being slammed into the rail. When I disconnected the fuel line going from the HPFP to the fuel rail it sprayed everywhere. I did have a fouled spark plug "plug #4" when I tore into more last night and injector "injector #2" somehow had the connector completely broken off. That must have happened when I reassembled last time. The connector on the injector was completely missing and the wire was just hanging, but shouldn't it had still ran "just shitty" with a non functional injector and plug?

Plenty of fuel. Sprayed out of the fuel rail when I disconnected the line from the HPFP to the rail. Found a plug charcoal black when I re-inspected and an injector had the connector broken off of it. Must have happened when I reassembled last time, but the vehicle still should have ran "Just not great" with a bad plug and non functioning injector.... Right?
