Well, hello. Grateful for this forum. I stumbled on it during my research on the MINI Cooper SE (the first time I got excited about an electric car). We ordered our car the last day our particular dealership was selling cars - Aug 31 (I guess not busy enough). Our MA was helpful but told us it would most likely be December before we even got a build number. Meanwhile, I sold my SQ5 which went super fast (pun intended) only to find out there was a chip shortage?! No wonder my SUV sold in 2 days. But I was going electric, my gas-guzzling days were done. We were anticipating 2022 and I decided to drive my older model Q5 full time. Out of sheer impatience, I nudged the husband to ask for a build number last week. Lo and behold there was a build number (my MA didn't check because he had customers who ordered cars in the summer who were still waiting on build numbers ). I logged in to track my MINI only to find my car was at the port! What?! Insane. Kinda bummed I missed all the events but excited I'm that far along in the process. My MA was surprised too. Today my account was updated to "Your MINI is in transit". So I got super excited and joined this forum. Shyte just got real!!. My mom owned an original wood-trimmed MINI Countryman so when I heard MINI made an EV I just had to get one. So here I am...my first MINI! And it's electric! I am sure if she were still here, she would have enjoyed it too. Happy happy! Joy joy!
