Anyway, I took it out on the Interstate and promptly got it up to, let's just say, "an extra-legal speed." What a thrill! Anyway, as I was powering down, a State trooper was headed in the other direction. I was thinking, "Oh crap! I haven't owned this car for more than 20 minutes, and I'm about to get my first ticket!" BIG SHOCK: no flashing red lights. I can't understand WHY IN THE WORLD I DIDN'T GET PULLED OVER! The only thing I can think of was that the trooper had a soft spot for a guy with a brand new ride--YEAH RIGHT! Musta been going off shift, more like!
Can't wait to hear your future motoring stories!

In the words of Michael Pritchard, "You don't stop laughing because you grow old. You grow old because you stop laughing."
Nothing like a MINI Cooper to bring the laughter and joy back; best of all, you're sharing it with the world. Yesterday, I was having a bad day until I saw this sweet DS/W MCS at Lowes in Webster, Texas. I spent the rest of the afternoon smiling...
Of course, I had cause to sulk; I was expecting mine to come in last Friday, so I could hold her and pet her and call her Micia... Instead, I spent the weekend MINIless! The horrors!!! I am hoping she comes in today and Momentum gets her toys installed before too long, so I can bring her home!
Once again, welcome to NAM and the best group of people (junior or senior) that I have had the pleasure to meet and greet!

The wife and I are both Opera fans (flame retardent suit on ) and my favorite is Wagner. In Wagner's Ring of the Niebelung is a character named Fafner. Fafner and his brother are the giants who build Valhalla for Wotan and the rest of the gods. And this car feels like a giant when I drive it.
But it gets better - to guard the mythical gold ring of the title, Fafner turns into - yep, a dragon. With those two things going for it I had to choose that name. We won't mention that the dragon is slain later on, but maybe that's a metaphor for a killer time to be had at next years Dragon...
