Help me pick which color to get

I wish I could post a poll and make it easy.
I am going this Saturday to sit down with my MA to work out the details to purchase a 2005 June Delivery MCSA (thats right a Automatic )

So which color R99 wheels should I get? I know there alot of $$ extra but I love the look.

Inferno, he's referring to rims, not paint choice.

That being said, I think the anthracite would contrast quite well with the pepper white.

But I'm going with a Pure Silver car. The pic above is me picking what I want to take to my MA this Saturday @ Tate MINI.

if you do all pure silver, then do silver wheels, the monochromatic look is great.

if you do pure silver with something like lets say a black roof, then the anthracite would look even better.

boo for brake dust.

I like the polished wheels myself. I don't think I've ever seen it in real life, but online, they look slick. Good luck and congrats!!!

Sorry, a quick look at the pic was all I had before replying. Looking at it again, it's pretty obvious what color you've picked. I'd say silver or anthracite, no polished. Again, I've never seen polished in person, but they've always looked so... off to me.

Simple anthracite, last year it was cool to have major bling but now people can care less. The anthracite is almost a gunmetal look which is really cool. It not only hides brake dust but it melds well with the rest of the car.

Oh btw when you order your car if there isnt one on the lot it will take about three months...enjoy the wait

Anthracite for sure. If you wanna get creative without getting all "blinged up" take the time or spend the money and have the lips polished. I did that to the wheels on my motorcycle and it looks great. Nice and shiny and sparkly without being too obnoxious. If you need polishing tips let me know i spent all winter doing my wheels

Neither. Get aftermarket wheels from www.tirerack.com. You'll pay considerably less money and get better tires. I'm getting 17" wheels with Michelin Pilot Sport high-performance tires for less than $1,200 from the Tirerack. They look better and perform better than anything you could get from your Mini dealership. Trust me.

I'd have to go with Hyper's comment. Not only do you save $400, but then you have either a 'winter' set of wheels, or you sell the take-offs and only 'spend' $800 - 1/2 off!!

What you talking about? My dealer said 6 weeks (1 and 1/2 months) for a car.

Also I plan to buy the wheels from Classic and already got a quote. About $60 less per wheel then the MINI catalog shows so already a savings.

Also I have gone the aftermarket way of wheels and well I'm sick of everytime I bring my car for service getting crap from them about aftermarket parts. So for right now I think I'm going MINI parts only. But you knows I might turn...

Delivery time varies widely by dealer and by region. I ordered on 2/5 and took delivery on 3/22 even after waiting an extra week on the Aero kit.

Classic MINI

Now a question: Exactly what aftermarket part(s) did the dealer give you crap about? Was it the intake? My SA's took one look at my wheels and said, "Wow, nice wheels! Where did you get them?" A few minutes later, an MA was pointing them out to his customer.

I have to agree. $1600 for those wheels is such a rip-off.
You can get some cool Ronal RT for $800, custom painted to any color for and extra $100 (per wheel?) and still have $500 left over for much better tires.

These are a little loud, but you get the point.

Mine said the same thing about the 18" Enkeis I used to have on the car. And just looked but said nothing on the intake and other little bits. But like I called service one day complaining of a weird noise in the suspension and the service guy said they wouldn't touch it if there was aftermarket wheels on it.

DVLMINI - I love the look of those first wheels. But here is the thing I am sick of a question whether or not I can have a part on my car. Sick of the bs over aftermarket. Even though most are cheaper and better quality.

The wheels shown are Ronal Wheels. Ronal makes some of the OEM wheels for the MINI. Your dealer is nuts. The R-99 wheels ARE aftermarket wheels and will not come on your car from the factory. If your dealer is being that big a jerk, I'd call MINI USA and ask for clarification. Tell your dealer they will touch your car because that's their job. Then let him explain to you that your aftermarket wheels are ruining your suspension. Unless you are running a truly incompatible size, I can't imagine how that would happen.
