Ordered & Waiting

I've been lurking for a couple weeks and decided to start posting tonight. I figured I'd tell everyone what I'm waiting for first off. I ordered my MINI in late April, and it's currently lost at sea. I'm on the Morning Noble, anyone else have a MINI on there?

Anyways, this is the rundown...

  • 2005 MINI
  • Cooper S
  • Chili Red
  • Panther Black Leatherette
  • Convenience Package
  • Cold Weather Package
  • Premium Package
  • Automatic Transmission w/ Steptronic Paddles
  • Exterior Color Door & Dash Bezel
  • White Bonnet Stripes
  • Chrome Line Interior
  • Roof & Mirror Caps In White
  • Front Fog Lamps
  • Xenon Headlights
  • Rear Fog Lamps
  • Harman-Kardon Sound System
  • Security System
  • Black Rubber Mats
Not too bad, eh? Well, I'm sure my brother will post here eventually too. Why? Because he ordered his MINI about 10 minutes after I did! Odd enough, his is going to be here about a week before mine.

Hey MINIjvx, welcome to NAM! Sounds like a nice MINI your getting. It is worth the wait, and it seems the wait is not much longer now.

Sounds excellent! Why did you get a cold weather package when you live in Dallas?? That's only allowed if you live north of 40!!

Cool signature tag line...original or quoted from somewhere?

Selling your Tiburon??

Nice packages in your red MCSa. And a time traveller too. Getting together at MIT? I can understand going back in time, but going forward is way beyond my comprehension. Welcome to NAM!

Odd thing about the cold weather package, when I started looking for a new car I really wanted heated seats. That was almost a requirement. I guess my thinking is that if it's going to be cold for a month or so here in Texas, I want to be comfortable for that month. If you live up north, you're cold for 6 months, and by month two you're used to the cold anyways. Maybe that just makes sense to me. Either way, I really hate the one or two times a year when I'm sitting there freezing in the car.

To be completely honest, I forget where I heard that saying. But it is true when you think about it.

The Tiburon is sold, I probably still have that on my AIM profile or something?
