mini select program

hello all. i am patiently waiting on the 06 info, and have been trolling the boards here for around 2 weeks. i wondered if anyone here has experience with the mini select program. i searched on it a few times and only really got tidbits of info. i am migrating from the vw golf community, and enjoy modding my car. is the select option mod friendly? any insight on this is greatly appreciated. kudos to all involved on this board. its a fantastic resource!

thanks in advance for your replies...

With the purchase of my new 05 MCSa I went with a MINI select loan. Its simply a loan with a higher APR then a finance deal but the loan is for only the depriciation of the car over the loan period. Similar to a lease except there is no mileage limit.

So on my $30k MINI the loan was only for about $15k. Then at the end of the term there is a balloon payment or you can refinance the remaining amount.

Welcome to the MINI community

cool. i went to speak to a motoring advisor, and he explained that to me as well. i was just afraid if i did the mini select, then modded it up, that they would go bananas as if i were leasing.

i used to drive a golfR32, so i will need to do the necessary upgrades to get me into that 210Hp MCS range. and i didnt want to opt for the mini select if i was restricted to stock.

are you going to do engine mods, etc?
