My New MINI and first Post
Hi everyone!. I've been lurking here for well over 2 months, and figured it was time I made my first post. I now have my 2005 MCSCa, I took delivery this past week from MINI of Pittsburgh. What a fun car to drive, I plan to put quite a few miles on it this weekend so I can get past that break-in period.
Anyway, here are a few pics of my new MINI.

Thanks Everyone! This is a great car, except I had a major problem tonight. I'm going to start a seperate thread on that (after I search the forums for related problems).
Kellzir, you asked about the Arm rest, I do like it a lot. My friend has on '04 MC40 edition without the arm rest, and I had the pleasure of driving it a few times. It's a nice place to lean, and the extra storage is great !
Mielniki, I'm in Mt. Lebanon.

Perfect color combo, I love it! Congratulations on the new MINI . . . you're well on your way to spending more on your mods than you will on anything else in your life, lol. Ask 'Tuls', I believe he calls it his $'s black hole
Happy Motoring!!!

PS - Just noticed that you're in Pittsburgh...only 5 hours from Helix in Philly. If you plan on doing mods, its well worth the trip to get it done right there. Eric and the lads will treat you and your MINI right. (wish I had known that before I wasted money on things like the 'shark injector' when i first started)

Yep, that dodad between the seats is an arm rest.
So let me tell you all about my 'little' problem last night, I was driving home from work (Squirrel Hill) on the Parkway East, about 2 miles in to my journey home the engine cut out, dropped down to "limp home mode" and the Service Engineer Soon light came on. The car wouldn't let me drive over 10 MPH, so I had to call Roadside assistance and have it towed. My baby is now siting at the dealer waiting until Monday to have someone look at it. Man am I miffed. I did some searching on the forum's last night, and it sounds like other people are having problems with the SES light coming on with their MCSa, but I didn't see any reference to the car going in to 'limp home mode". Anyone experienced this?
So did anyone see me sitting along the Parkway last night? I usually see one or two MINI's on a given day, but while I was sitting there last evening, I must have seen 6-8 MINIs motorin' by.

Sorry to hear about your first trip out experience I am sure it's probably a quick and easy fix although very frustrating when you have a great motoring weekend planned.
I do have a few questions, since I am so partial to Red and Black Mini's myself, is the arm rest retrofitable, that is can I buy one from my Mini dealer and install it on my 2002? And the same question about your red dashboard will those pieces if purchased separately fit my 2002 dash layout?
Anyone have the answers I would appreciate it hearing back, thanks.
