MCS on Order..!

w00t.
After many many posts on what to buy how to buy what color to buy, i've decided to order one yesterday through a local dealer.

Mini of Towson at MSRP.

it's . . .

CR with Black Top

MFSW Control
Xenon Headlights
Ant. Headliner.

I know I know, it's pretty stripped..but at my age, this is more than enough..

well 5-6 Weeks from today.

I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Did you pick the Ant. trim as well?

Does wonders for the look of the interior.

Order it as you like it... Looks good to me. I ordered mine kind of light.. I ordered less than most and went the performance route.... also kept the cost down...
Good luck... mine is on the docks and will be here in 2 weeks..

Remember this day, sprp, this is BIG!!!!! Maybe your MINI was part of the dealer's normal allocation and they just tweaked the spec at the last minute for you.

3 days later!

Wow dude! You totally scored!

I ordered mine 6 days ago and the wait is already getting to me. I called and found out mine is scheduled for the week of the 4th of July, but no production date has been set yet. Since I live in Colorado, I have to wait for the boat to get to the West Coast, then driven out here so I don't think I'll see it 'till September . This wait will be the end of me!

BBoy// Sorry to hear dude.! The time for you will come, eventually. Best wishes for ya..!

Just an update on my order (incase anybody is wondering how fast my process wil go through)

I called my MA today to get more details than the ASK-MINI / O.L.

My MA informed me that my car is currently in Paint Shop and scheduled to be completed on Friday, June 24, 2005. Which is just 11 Days after my order. (I believe it's not SLOW. ) And after that, it's to the big pond..

I might be getting my Mini ALOT faster than I hoped..

Although i wish i could have waited for my mini... getting mine the day after i picked it out was long enough for me! They even let me wait til the day AFTER i drove the car off the lot to pay my deposit!

I can't imagine waiting months for one you optioned out. I waited two years for the money to pay for ANY mini

A stripped MINI is actually desirable in many circumstances. In any case, I think most would agree that a "stripped" MCS is a heckuvalotta car for the money. Xtras are nice, but not needed for a typical daily driver, imo. The essentials are all there.

My MC has very selected options and I love it!!!

Well I guess I will post an updated status of my order.

I called the ASK-MINI today and I've been told that it is heading toward the port of exit.

Not many steps from there I believe..

Port of Exit -> Loaded on a ship -> Crosses the pool -> ???

How long should I expect from this point??
I initially thought of early - mid July. But the guy said 1 month from this point. () meaning end of July maybe later than that.

You're in the same spot as I. Your MA is right. Two weeks on a boat, about a week from distibution (depending on where you live too), and then whatever final work your dealer needs to do.

ariercetinberk// thanks. I once had some thoughts on HB too..

md// aw.. but ~2 weeks on a boat, 1 week in dist, 1 week at my dealer? (I did not order any dealer-install options)
or will it be just about 3 weeks from this point?

O yeah and I live in Maryland. Not far from New York..
