New to Nam - Miniing 2 years
Hi, found this forum the other day. Looks like lots of useful information and interesting people. So I thought I would say hi.
My friend Karin picked up her Mini on 8/21 of 03. She had a boring car built by another German company and decided that she needed something fun. She thought the Mini was cute and practical for driving in San Francisco. At first I wasn't sure about it but checked out the specs and thought it might be good. I decided it was okay by me after talking it down some favorite country roads.
We have been on a few trips and did a couple of Big Mini track days. I posted some pictures of our last trip at the link below. We went to Weaverville in Northern California on the 4th of July weekend. It is a quaint town from the Gold Rush days of the 1850's. We stayed in a renovated hotel from the era and checked out the local sites. Karin enjoyed the many art and antique shops and enjoyed driving the Mini on some really fine backroads.

Awesome pics. We were just in N.Cal. for our vacation too! Lotsa old places and antique shops to visit, that's for sure.
Glad you found NAM. I hang here a lot lately! Great folks and lots of useful information. I also like the fun atmosphere here as well (if a forum has atmosphere that is) .
