The boat ride to Cali takes almost a month).

Could you do me a favor and call 1 866 ASK MINI and ask them what week number your was scheduled for a build? I'm trying to figure out how accurate the build week they give you is... (I'm still "on order").
Thanks!

Mine just went to the paint shop (152) this morning and is due to complete on Wednesday. Perhaps, if I'm very lucky... I'll be on your ship as mine will also be coming to Charleston. More likely I'll be strung out somewhere behind. I've been about 3-4 days behind you sooooo...
We shall see.
Excitement mounts! (sure am glad I'm on the right coast for this )

ok, so combining uruck's progression, what i've heard from MINI USA and my dealer AND assuming all changes of status can happen any day of the week.... whew... here is what i estimate my timeline to be:
JULY 15 - 150 Production Started
JULY 21 - 151 Body Shop Started
JULY 21 - 152 Paint Shop Started
JULY 23 - 153 (my birthday!) - Assembly Started
JULY 26 - 155 Production Completed (projected 7/24)
JULY 26 - 160 Released to Distribution (projected 7/24)
JULY 26 - 182 Released to Carrier (projected 7/24)
AUG 5 - En Route AIDA (projected 8/1)
AUG 17 - At vehicle distribution center (projected 8/16)
AUG 22 - At dealer (aero kit, driving lights, aux input installation begins)
AUG 26 - delivery! (projected 8/24)
by this time, the 06 specs should be out and i should have ordered my MCS JCW and the whole darn thing will start over again!
and yes, i have way too much time on my hands.

To get a bit more obsessive (got this off the OL, http://on.miniusa.com/thread.jsp?for...read=100004126):
Find your vessel's call sign:
http://cgmix.uscg.mil/psix/PSIX2/VesselSearch.asp
And the ships in the water:
http://www.oceanweather.com/data/NAT...rn/marine.html
Or even more direct:

hit reload to refresh the image every hour or so.

Anyone have any recent delivery time experience that would support MINIUSAs comment? or maybe contradict?
According to WW, cargo must be at the port 4 days in advance of shipping, so the timeframe given by MINI for wait times is good guideline. My car finish last Wednesday and went to the port on Thursday and was booked on to aboat leaving August 3rd. There were two boats leaving on Friday (Liberty and Undine) and I got 'waitlisted' on to the Undine, which left a day late (yesterday). My status didn't update to 'Loaded' yet, but I also have not been reassigned to a different voyage. Just waiting for their systems to update. Others have similar experiences.
Point of this is that the schedule ASK MINI provided may be accelerated if there are berths available on earlier ships, so it's worth it to check on days when ships are leaving. There's not as many cars waiting this time of year, so I'll bet you ship out within days of port arrival.
Good luck!

mine was scheduled to complete production on 7/17.
it did. and it was loaded on the MIGNON for a ride across
the pond on 7/20. (it was originally supposed to leave
on the UNDINE on 7/22).
WW has the ocean crossing to NYC slated for 8 days (arrives 7/27)
from what i gather, MINI and the MA's are using the Northwest Airlines
version of scheduling (add lots of extra leeway so that they're virtually
never late and almost always 'ahead' of schedule). i been on flights
that took off an hour late and still arrived 'onschedule'

called MINIUSA this moring. they haven't updated my status. it's still 150. however they told me that my mini is in FINAL INSPECTION! it should be at the port in 2 to 3 days. they say it's very likey that it will get on the AIDA (leaving aug 1) or the MAERSK (leaving aug 2).
if it doesn't get on one of those ships it wont leave until aug 11 which will make me sad.
think happy thoughts... think happy thoughts... think happy thoughts...

Select 'CARGO TRACKING'
Select 'AUTO CARGO'
Enter your 17-digit VIN in the box
See what ship you are on. Click the Voyage code (EQ-530-AID for AIDA) and see the dates/times at various destinations.
Have fun waiting... I'm in that lot as well since this time last week

My status changed to 'waitlisted' on the UNDINE last week when she came in to port but ultimately I didn't make the boat (see this posting for ongoing activity). https://www.northamericanmotoring.co...2&page=1&pp=25
Now I'm back on the AIDA.
