You HAVE to put a sticker of a Green triangle somewhere on your MINI! Just to bring back these memories!

Ya know, I've often wondered if I were going to name my car this time.
The current one has always be 'The MINI'
This is a British Racing Green Convertible, or 'DropTop as I prefer to call it.
I've tagged the car as an MCSDT in my sig...
so this would make it a BRGDT...
the name that jumps out at me is Bridget...
and of course this would work well as an acronym for
BridGeT (Big Green Triangle)...

Watcha'll think?

See - you have an easy time naming yours, I have no idea what to call mine.

How about NOAH? Not A Honda? Heck I could use that one, I'm coming off a CR-V!

It'd have to be NOAP - Not A Plymouth. I'm actually driving a 94 Voyager. The Honda is my dads - we are all doing the "vehicle shuffle".

Explanation (in white as it is off-topic. Highlight to read.): I'm buying (my life savings, eek!) a new car, and selling the precious (junky) vehicles - I get a cut of sold vehicles. Funds split, half to me, half to another car to replace the Safari+Honda. Need a GM Safari? Pull behind camper? Parking lot does not even describe our driveway : ) The bug was my first vehicle (in HS) and is a perpetual project car. Runs, not for sale. Did a few mods to the VW, steering wheel swap, mono pushbutton stereo hack, re-upholstery, carpet, but cannot weld.

E.T. said he'll make you a mint green triangle decal, if you'd like.

Hey! We have to post photos of our MINIS on this thread once we get them.

It's at the distribution center! So, I'm making an educated guess that it arrived at the VDC on the 2nd, though it could have arrived earlier - the OL has been two days behind from what I could tell.

Agreed! Brilliant idea to post pics here.

I understand on the add-ons. Mine also has Aero Kit, R90s, tires, JCW air box and Invisishield to be applied before delivery. I'll see it at the dealer before they do the work to approve the factory build components.

Call sign for the AIDA?

Steve,
Do you know where I can find the call sign for the AIDA?

My car should be leaving on the AIDA tomorrow and I'd like to track the boat across the ocean.

TIA

Steve:

Let me know how you like the invisishield. I'm thinking about getting it as well. I have a 30+ mile (each way) all-highway commute to work each day, and think it would be better than bra to protect my front-end.

Yepper, will do. I particularly want it with the Aero front bumper. It's a flatter construction than the MINIs normal nose and seemed to pick up chips far more frequently. I am considering just the Aero bumper and lights as I don't want the line across the hood for the full front kit.

Letcha know.

Yah... the OL has been way behind for me. It just switched in the last few hours to showing my car EnRoute. No EDD yet. I did get all the details from my MA yesterday morning including BoL, etc. for my car on FRANCONIA and I know she is scheduled to arrive in Charleston in 10 days on the 15th. I expect I'll take delivery late this month, perhaps the 26th or so depending on how much time is required to do the Aero and all. I'll be checking with the dealership to see if they will have it pre-painted and cured and the Invisishield installed beforehand.

I can't get the K-Line site to acknowledge the Bill of Lading number in their cargo tracking system, but what the h3ll...

Slightly off-topic sidebar comment:
I watched them install stripes on someone's new car just before they were heading home... a 240 mile drive! They ran the engine for about 30 minutes afterwards to help the stripes cure on before driving away. How lousy would that have been to see those flapping in the wind on day one (it was raining like crazy that day!!)

:cough: :gasp: :choke:

I hope MINI's system isn't THAT off. I was seriously hoping it would be a bit better. I know it isn't exact... UNLESS yours breezed right through the VDC, and your dealer is next door to it!

Yep. I was reading the michigan mini site, in the MINI sightings - a HB/B was spotted driving down Grand River - I think that's near my dealership! Of course, I'll check the mileage . Them MINI wranglers can be trouble - check your local group for suspicious LY activities!

Gents:

Quick question...are the MCCs pre-wired for the CD Changer? Also, have you had any experience with the Blitzsafe adapters? I want to hook up an Alpine MP3/Changer. Feel free to PM to not continue this side-topic.
Thanks

Well I checked my dealership for suspicious LY activities. And I found out Bean was delivered there yesterday!!!!!

I wonder if the EDD was changed to 8/4, since it arrived there on 8/4. It's only days now!

Well that sure is suspicious-type activity!

Yoo Hoo for You!!

I hope they have already pre-painted the Aero Kit and you'll be Beaning along the highways early next week.

Congrats

Just a quick reply here... I have no experience with these items myself, so sorry! no joy. You may want to pop over to the Audio and Nav Forum for help. Lotsa folks there that know their stuff.

Good luck!!

I'm LOSING MY MIND . I've been working nights till 2 AM, waking up at 9:00AM and getting to work 2 hours late (at 10:00). Sigh. I can barely concentrate on the rush project in front of me. At least the MINI will have been paid off by the end of the Summer -> how are those of you who are almost there coping? Sorry for the post, needed to vent a bit...
